An Update from Fr. Jude

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

I cannot thank you enough for the cards, gifts, baked goods, and candy you have sent me over the past several weeks. Please forgive my lack of acknowledgement, but there are too many for me to respond to. I'm especially grateful for all your prayers. I truly feel the strength and grace from them!

My goal is to return to Sunday Mass by the end of September. So please include that petition in your prayers.

The doctors are rather baffled by my situation, but the good news is that there are no new cancer sites, and the old ones keep shrinking!

Lastly, somehow it got around that I like Three Musketeer Bars, and that opened up a floodgate of candy! We have had more than enough to supply us through the winter. (I just want to pass on that I like 50 pound gold bars, too!)

The most difficult days for me are Saturday and Sunday. Not being physically present with you for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is my biggest burden and my greatest motivation for getting better. Until then, I try to remember we are always spiritually united in the Eucharist as we journey through this life.

Peace and prayers for all of you,

Fr. Jude DeAngelo, OFM Conv.
