March the 31st.
The confrontation between Jesus and the people comes to a boiling point in today's selection from John's gospel. Jesus tells them to look at the works He has done. He tells them that these works show the power of God.
As we move toward our celebration of holy, we live in a world where many questions challenge our faith in the power of God. We might wonder in question as we experience the wars, the natural disasters, the brokenness of the human family, the many problems for which there seem to be no answers.
We have reflected on the works of Jesus as they have been presented to us in the gospel. We are about to commemorate his greatest work: his passion, death and resurrection.
What do they say to any doubts and fears that we may have?
