May the 28th.
All the readings for the Feast of Pentecost speak of the coming of the Holy Spirit and the effect that it had. That reality continues in the world today.
God wants to be present to each one of us. He wants to make himself known and loved. He wants to continue the outpouring of himself in and through us.
This was the reality of the first Pentecost.
It is the goal that we have prepared to know and celebrate since the outset of Lent. Our efforts in this time have led us and prepared us to play our part in this reality. We now move forward better prepared to live its realization in our lives.
Holy Spirit, work and shine forth through me each day of my life.
