April the 17th.
The early Christian communities soon realized that their beliefs and faith in the risen Lord would meet challenges. Subsequent years have shown the truth of this over and over again. The world of 2023 is no exception.
Challenges change but never cease to exist. Our faith must be strong. Like the people portrayed in today's readings, we need to be bold in the way we live our faith.
This time of reflection offers us an opportunity to deepen our faith in the risen Lord. As we hear of their experience, we are given ways to shore up our own beliefs and to see where they can improve.
Holy Spirit, help me to be bold and active in the way I live my faith.
