April the 19th.
In the early church, it is very evident that community is of vital importance. The message of the resurrection was given to a community. It grew and flourished in the community. It was shared and promulgated by the community.
Down through the ages, it has always been the same. The ways and the means have varied, but the message and the key element of that message, the resurrection of Jesus, have remained one and the same.
These days of reflection focus our attention on that and on the power and strength that it offers us.
Lord Jesus, risen Savior, make me a faithful part of the community to which you have called me.
