May the 1st.
Today's reading from the Acts of the Apostles relates how God guided the early church. It tells the experience of Peter in how he came to understand the direction in which God was leading his people.
History relates many other moments when God let his people in this way. A more recent example was the second Vatican Council and how Pope St. John the 23rd was inspired by God to call the council. Where it leads us even today is quite amazing.
God is constantly at work among us. As we live this special time, are we listening? Are we paying attention to how he might be speaking to us or where he might be leading us?
Risen Lord, help me to see and hear you more clearly each day.
