May the 10th.
Listening to the words of the gospel today, we hear Jesus inviting us to remain in him as he promises to remain in us. Continuing our return to hope has just this as its goal.
We seek to anchor our lives in our belief in Jesus, his life, death and resurrection. We make the positive effort to keep our lives from drifting from the commitment that we made at the time of our baptism.
Each one of us is well aware of the many competing things that challenge us. As we reflect today, it is a welcome reminder of where these days have directed us.
Risen Lord, thank you for the invitation and the strength to remain in you.
