May the 11th.
The invitation to remain in Jesus is brought into focus by the gospel words today.
Jesus tells us to keep his commandments in order to live in his love. The many little things that we do result in many ways of showing love; in many ways of reflecting our creator, who is love.
Our journey throughout these weeks has been an opportunity to get back to the basics of what it means to live in Christ and to live as Christ. We don't conform to commandments out of fear. We do so in order to show love.
Take a few moments. Try to see where these weeks have made that a reality for you.
Risen Lord, show me how following you in love brings me joy.
