May the 20th.
Scripture tells us that the early church was given a commission. Its details and outline came from the spirit in response to the situations and circumstances in which the members found themselves.
Our journey of return to Hope has refreshed and sharpened our knowledge of that same commission.
Like our sisters and brothers of old, we rely on the spirit in the days before us. Much has changed in the 2000 years that have passed since that time, but the same spirit works in and through us. We gather in prayer this week and we seek that support and guidance.
Spirit of wisdom and understanding, enlighten my mind and my heart as I pray and reflect this week.
