March the 21st.
As we continue our return to hope, we are going to meet Jesus In many situations. St. John recounts these events so as to share with his community the Jesus he came to know as he lived and walked with Him.
Today's gospel reading shares with us the story. of a lonely man near the miraculous pool. After 38 years of dealing with his illness and being alone, he probably was rather discouraged. Jesus sought him out. He offered him a chance to be healed. He cared for him and his need. The same Jesus walks with us today as we make our Lenten journey.
Are there things we are dealing with that perhaps are also occasions of discouragement because they don't seem to be getting any better? Can we give them to Jesus or his attention?
Lord, I believe.
