March the 22nd.
Our journey of Lent continues today with the words of hope addressed to the people of Israel by Isaiah the prophet. He reminds them that God does not forget them or their needs.
The Psalm response reminds us that God is gracious and merciful.
Jesus recalls for us the fact that He does the work of God the Father and that the Father is always at work and mindful of us and our needs.
As part of our journey of return to hope, these words have a great significance for us. When situations become challenging or the road becomes difficult, they offer us an anchor and motivation to move on.
Lord, you are my hope and promise. When I find myself challenged or discouraged.
