March the 23rd.
As we continue our return to hope, the gospel reading today offers us another reminder of God's ever present and very powerful love for us.
At times, the words of scripture seem to condemn those who do not believe. Yet in the light of the reality of God's love that is not so. Rather, these strong words relate to the power and consistency of the love of God.
As we make our journey, that that offers us motive and incentive. It helps us to know God. It moves us to accept His invitation to know him better. All of Lent moves us to find God in our lives and to move away from whatever separates us from Him.
Lord, open my eyes and my heart to You today.
