April the 29th.
The gospel selection today presents a very interesting picture. Jesus has shared his teaching on the Eucharist with the people. They are perplexed. They struggle to understand.
As we live this year and face the many challenges of our daily lives, there are surely many things that we do not understand. There are many things that leave us perplexed much as we're the people of Jesus's time. He speaks to us as he did to them.
Do we renew our commitment to him as Peter did? Do we see him and the truth of his resurrection as the truths around which we build our hope. That hope is the goal of our journey?
May our readings and reflections so far this year bring us closer to that.
